Allow each group a set amount of time to find the perfect attire for lunch by shopping at area garage sales. (They are easy to find on Saturday mornings.) Everyone then meets at a designated location (restaurant, park, etc.) for lunch. Sit back, enjoy the meal, the funny stories you will have to share, and the weird looks you will get from those who see your group in your creative attire.
