Freedom to Succeed
Why Sexual Abstinence? Because it's
the Law
The Freedom to Succeed program is the second of three programs
geared to motivate teens to choose sexual abstinence as the best
lifestyle to help them reach their dreams and goals.
It is not necessary to
see Aim For Success first. Students can see the three programs
in any order.

Introduction - Dreams and Goals
Choices you make now will affect your future dreams and
goals.
Pregnancy and Child Support
Students are
challenged to consider the consequence of an unplanned
teenage pregnancy, single parenting and having to pay
child support. Who pays? How much? How
long?
Abstinence = Freedom
What is Sex?
Students learn a straight answer to the question, "What is sex?" For
example, is oral sex or other sexual behaviors considered sex?
The students
are surprised to learn the law considers touching sexual areas
to be sex.
Criminal Law
Each sexual
crime (as defined in your state) is explained.
These crimes
include a discussion concerning public lewdness, indecent exposure,
indecency with a child and sexual assault.
Game - Guess
the Age
Having sex with
someone underage can have legal consequences.
Students play a
game demonstrating how difficult it is to determine the age of a
teenager.
Sexual Offender
Registration
Students learn
about sex offender registration: who, what, how long, etc.
Examples of
actual teen sex offender registrations are shown.
Students discuss how registering as a sex offender can impact
different dreams and goals.
Sexual Abuse/Teen Dating Violence
Sexual abuse is never the victim's fault.
Students learn to look for red flags in their relationships that
indicate an unhealthy relationship.
Pornography -
Cell Phones/Sexting/Internet
Students learn
how pornography can be unlawful.
Sexting - If the picture shows someone under 18, that is child
pornography and students could face legal consequences.
Dangers - Studies show people involved in pornography are more
likely to commit sexual crimes than those who do
not use pornography.
Pornography can
distort sex through focus on the self and robs you of the best,
healthy sexual relationship in marriage.
Sexual
Harassment
Students are equipped to recognize and learn how to deal with sexual
harassment.
The Best
Protection
The information
from the program is applied to the teenager's life when it comes to
"the best protection."
The pill,
condoms, oral sex and sexual touching won't protect you from legal
consequences.
Only abstinence gives
you full protection from all of the consequences.
Abstinence =
Freedom
Survey
A voluntary,
anonymous survey is offered at the conclusion.
Aim for Success tabulates the surveys and sends a report of the
survey results and comments from students.
