Purpose and History
About Us
Aim
for Success is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization
based in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1993 by Marilyn Morris, Aim
for Success helps young people avoid the risks of sexual
activity, drugs and bullying through live presentations in
schools, youth organizations and churches. Over two million teens, parents and
educators have been motivated, educated and entertained by
these powerful programs. The professional speaking staff of
Aim For Success provides about 1,500 presentations a year.
Aim For Success has four different sexual abstinence
programs. Each program has a 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade and/or a high school
component. That means students can start seeing an Aim For Success presentation
in the 6th grade and watch a different program each year. In 2008, Aim For Success added a new drug and alcohol
prevention presentation called Power to Succeed.
In the fall of 2011, Aim For Success rolled out their new anti-bullying program
called Empowered to Defend.
Purpose
Aim For Success: America's largest provider of sexual abstinence programs.
Aim For Success is an independent, non-profit, educational
organization that promotes a lifestyle of excellence by
encouraging the development of self control, self respect, and
self discipline. Through live presentations students are
encouraged to develop strong, responsible character as they
deal with sexual pressure.
Through Aim For Success presentations, students learn the wisdom of
avoiding sexual activity until marriage. Through Parents
Programs, parents are inspired to raise responsible children
who understand the choices they make in life have consequences.
Teachers receive creative ideas on how to implement the
abstinence message into their classrooms through Staff
Development Training.
Success Requires Good
Choices!
All students will have to make a decision about
sex. That decision can mean the difference between
success or failure, life or death. What guidance
are you providing?
As teachers, administrators, and parents, you
know from experience that success in life requires
making the right choices when faced with difficult
and confusing decisions. The question is: What are
you going to do to prepare them to make good
choices?
Facts:
- Over 2,000 teenagers get pregnant every day in America.
- Over 10,000 teenagers get an STD every day in America.
- There are over 25 significant STDs
today.
- One out of every four sexually active
teenagers gets an STD every year.
- "Safe sex" methods do little in preventing several of today's
leading STDs. And no contraceptive can protect a young
person's heart from emotional scars and painful memories
brought on by sexual activity before marriage.

History
In 1984, Marilyn Morris was invited to
speak to one of her daughters' classes about sexual
abstinence. She jumped at the chance to tell teenagers what
she wished someone had told her. In 1968, the beginning of
her senior year in high school, Marilyn's dreams and goals
were completely changed when she found out she was pregnant.
She and Charles Morris were forced to grow up overnight when
they were married at the age of 17 and 18. Marilyn's
personal experience has given her a passion to
share the sexual abstinence until marriage
message.
Marilyn's captivating and entertaining speaking style
resulted in her giving 50 presentations to 3,745 participants
in 1990. During the next few years the numbers continued to
grow. In August 1993, Marilyn formed Aim For Success, Inc., as
a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization. She
continues to serve as its President today. Marilyn's husband,
Charles, now a CPA, joined Marilyn at Aim For Success in 1994
to serve as CFO. Charles and Marilyn have
two grown, married daughters, and five
grandchildren.
In its first year (1993), Marilyn and two
other Aim For Success speakers gave 526 presentations to
over 30,000 people. As the years progressed, the
professional speaking staff grew to meet the demands for the
phenomenal growth. Today, 2 million teens, parents and
educators across America have participated in an Aim For
Success presentation in public schools, churches and youth
organizations. This incredible growth has allowed Aim For
Success to become the largest provider of sexual abstinence
programs in the country.

The entertaining one-hour, live
student
presentations are age-appropriate and designed for
6th grade through college. The programs are fast-paced,
fun and filled with games, stories and object lessons.
Students can start seeing an Aim For Success presentation in
the 6th grade and see a different program each year. Each
presentation includes impressive PowerPoint technology. These
positive, medically-accurate programs help build self-control,
self-respect and self-discipline.
