Haziel is an enthusiastic and dynamic speaker whose passion for equipping and motivating students becomes evident when he speaks. He believes every student is destined for greatness and without exception, everyone is born with purpose and potential. His goal is to empower students to dream for a bigger tomorrow by making wise and healthy decisions today, in spite of the challenges they face in their lives.
Haziel was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, and at the age of 5, he and his family moved to Garland, TX. Throughout most of his elementary and middle school years, he was surrounded by drugs, alcohol, gangs, street violence and teen pregnancies. Despite the atmosphere that surrounded him, Haziel was known to be a good role model and was respected by his peers and teachers. He credits this to his parents and mentors who always encouraged and motivated him. It is now his life mission to inspire students to confidently “swim against the current” and make a difference.
In 2014, Hazel graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute with a Bachelor’s in Practical Ministry. While there, he met a beautiful Pennsylvanian girl, Tessa Lee Beltran, who he later married in 2017. They now live in Wylie, TX with their naughty cat, Sugar, and overly excited dog, Canelo. He has devoted countless volunteer and vocation hours to empowering others and has had the opportunity to travel and speak in different parts of the world, including China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand & various parts of Mexico.
