Checklist, Frequently Asked Questions, and Promotional Ideas
These are organizational tools to be used by the coordinator of the program. These give promotional ideas, answers to our most commonly asked questions, and help you take care of all the preparation details.
Parent Information Letter
This will provide information about the upcoming student presentations and serve as an invitation to the Parent Program. After the dates, time, and location are filled in the appropriate blanks, copies may be made and sent out three to six weeks prior to the event. It is recommended the school mail this letter to the parents to guarantee receipt of the information. Letters can also be sent home in student folders or report cards. The program-specific parent letter can be found by selecting the program on the right.
Parent Email
If you have access to parent email addresses, consider using the email flier template as an additional way to get the word out about your parent program. This should be done 1 week prior to the event as a second reminder. The program-specific email flier can be found by clicking the program on the right.
Parent Program Handouts
Please send these documents to parents who will view the Livestream or Recorded Parent Presentations. Speakers will bring these documents with them for In-Person presentations.
Free Promotional Posters View/Download
Promotional posters advertising the Parent Program are available for download. The posters can be placed around the school, at local businesses, churches, etc., to encourage adults to attend the Parent Program.
Media Release
The media release is designed to be sent to newspapers, radio stations, TV Stations, Cable information channels, area bulletins or school websites to invite the public to attend the Parent Program. The more the program is mentioned in the media, the more likely others will attend from the school district, churches, and/or youth organizations. The more people you invite, the greater the impact you can make in the lives of area teens. The program-specific media release can be found by selecting the program on the right.
